Kharghar is a growing area, but our corner feels a bit more settled and quiet compared to the main roads. The office is inside a cooperative housing society, so it has a very residential feel to it. You have to walk past the kids playing in the common area or people drying clothes to get to us. Inside, it’s just a few desks and a lot of registers stacked up. We handle things for the local residents mostly. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find people in ties or formal suits. We wear what’s comfortable and get on with the paperwork. The Sector 15 area is pretty well-connected, so it’s easy for people to find us once they know where Gharkul is. We spend our afternoons going through the accounts and making sure the entries match up correctly. Sometimes we sit outside for a minute if the office feels too cramped with all the paper. There are a lot of buildings around here, all looking quite similar, but Makarand Vihar has its own local character. We’ve been here for a while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit with new shops. Despite all that, our daily routine stays pretty much the same. It’s a honest, local way to run things and we like staying connected to the folks in Raigarh.
