Our shop is out in the Chinchoshi area. It’s a bit away from the main city, so it’s usually a bit quieter around here. We deal with all sorts of batteries for cars and tractors. The place is full of heavy items and it smells a bit like metal and chemicals. We have concrete floors that are stained with old marks from where the batteries have been sitting. We spend most of our time testing cells and checking if they can hold a charge. It’s heavy work and you have to be careful with your back. We don't have a fancy showroom. It’s more of a workshop where we keep the stock on wooden pallets. There’s a small bench outside where we sit when we’re waiting for a customer to show up. Most people who come here are from the nearby farms or people who have had their car break down on the road. We have a few basic tools and a charging unit that hums all day long. Our clothes usually have a few spots on them from the work we do. We don't really bother with a big sign or any advertisements. People around Chinchoshi know who we are and where to find us if their battery dies. It’s a simple, practical life. We open the shutters in the morning and stay until the sun starts to go down.
