Our lab is situated at Plot No. W-76 (Ii) in the MIDC Industrial Area in Taloja. Taloja is a big place, and it can take some time to get out here if you are coming from Mumbai or even Navi Mumbai. We have a set routine that involves a lot of testing and looking at samples throughout the day. The building is divided into different sections for the lab equipment and the office side of things. It is very quiet inside compared to the outside, where the trucks are constantly rolling by on the main industrial roads. We have to keep things very clean because of the nature of lab work. You will always see someone sweeping or wiping down the benches. It is a bit of a contrast to the dusty roads outside. The humidity in Taloja can be quite high, especially in the rainy season, which sometimes affects how we have to store certain things. Our small team of technicians is mostly focused on their glass tubes and testing kits. We don't really have a reception area or anything like that. If someone comes by, they usually just shout for one of us at the main door. It is a simple way of doing things, but it works for us. We spend a lot of time documenting results and making sure everything is recorded properly. It is steady work, and we all know our roles well.
