Running a chemist shop in Neral is mostly about knowing the local faces. We are located in Shreenath Ji Apartment at Shop Number 3. It’s a good spot because we are quite close to the Shri Ram Mandir, which brings a lot of people our way. Living and working in the Raigad district, specifically here in Karjat taluka, has its own pace. It’s not like the big city. We keep the shelves stocked with whatever people might need for their health. The shop is clean and we spend a lot of time organizing the boxes and checking dates. It’s a lot of standing around waiting for the next person to walk through the door. We see families from the apartments and folks coming back from the temple. Everyone is usually in a bit of a hurry, or they want to talk about how they are feeling. We don’t have any fancy displays or loud advertisements. It’s just a counter, some glass cases, and us. Sometimes the monsoon rains in Raigad make it hard for people to get out, so it gets quiet then. But usually, there is a steady stream of people looking for their regular medicine. We just try to stay organized and keep things moving. It’s a simple life here in Neral, and we are just glad to have our small place in it. People often stop by just to ask for directions or because they saw the Ram Mandir and needed some aspirin on the way back. We don't mind.
