Medpure Social Welfare Foundation

You can find Medpure Social Welfare Foundation on the first floor of House No. 61. We are located in the village of Poyanje, which is in the Panvel taluka of Raigarh. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs, but we have a good view of what is happening in the street. We have been here in Poyanje for a while now. Most people around here know us by name. We do not behave like those big offices you see in Mumbai. We are just local people trying to help out with social welfare stuff. The office is usually a bit messy with papers and tea cups, but we know where everything is. Panvel is growing fast, but our village still feels like a village. We spend a lot of time visiting neighbors and seeing what people need. It is not a 9-to-5 kind of job; it is more like a lifestyle. We do not use any fancy mission statements. We just try to be useful to the folks around here. Sometimes we have meetings on the porch or just stand around talking by the gate. It is a very informal way of working, but it seems to work for us. We are just glad to have a roof over our heads and work that keeps us busy. We do not ask for much else.
