Mauli Motors

Out here in Chakan M I D C, things are always moving fast. Mauli Motors is right in the heart of the industrial zone, so we are surrounded by large factories and heavy trucks. The air is often filled with the sound of machinery and the smell of diesel. It is a very practical place, built more for work than for looking nice. I spend my days dealing with engines and mechanical parts that come off the big vehicles. The shop is large enough to pull a truck inside when we need to get out of the sun. The dust from the Chakan roads tends to settle on everything, so I am constantly dusting off the desk and the chairs. I usually get here very early, before the sun is fully up, to beat the worst of the traffic. There is a tea stall just down the road where I go twice a day to get a hot cup and talk to the other guys working in the MIDC. Most of our work comes from the businesses nearby that need their vehicles kept in running order. We have a lot of heavy tools and jacks scattered around the floor. It is a tiring job sometimes, and the noise never really stops until late at night, but it is a good place to be if you like being around engines. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing.
