We occupy shops twenty-one, twenty-two, and twenty-three in Unnati Tower. This is in Sector 21 of Kharghar, which has grown a lot in the last few years. Having three shop spaces joined together gives us enough room to stock a decent variety of things for the local residents. We spend a lot of our time just unpacking boxes and trying to fit everything onto the shelves. It feels like as soon as we finish stocking one section, another one is empty. The floors get scuffed up pretty quickly with all the foot traffic, so we are always mopping up. We have a few checkout counters, but during the evening rush, there is usually a line that goes back into the aisles. It gets a bit chaotic with people asking for prices or looking for specific brands of tea or biscuits. We don't have a fancy warehouse, so we use the upper shelves for extra stock, which means someone is always climbing a ladder. Our staff lives nearby, so we all know the local gossip and what’s happening in the building. It is a straightforward business. We buy things in bulk, put them on the shelves, and help people find what they need for their kitchens. It is hard work on the feet, but we like being part of the neighborhood. We try to keep the doors open late enough so people coming home from work can still get their groceries even if the trains are late.
