Iyer Goshala Karjat Foundation

We are located at Iyer Goshala Karjat Foundation, which is out in Takave village. The address is House Number 174. To get here, you have to go through the Post-Kadav area in Karjat taluka. It is a very different vibe from the big cities. We are surrounded by more green space and open air here in the Raigarh district. The house is a traditional setup, and we’ve adapted it for our work. Life moves a bit slower in Karjat, which we don't mind at all. We follow the rhythm of the village. Most of our neighbors are locals who have lived in Takave for a long time. It can be a bit of a trek to get out here if you are coming from Mumbai or Pune, but the air is definitely cleaner. We spend a lot of our time managing things on-site. There isn't much in the way of high-speed internet or fancy office equipment, but we have what we need to keep things running. During the monsoons, the whole area turns very green, though the roads can get a bit muddy. We usually start our work quite early in the morning when it's still cool outside. It’s a simple life out here in the Raigad district, and our foundation reflects that. We are just a group of people working out of a village house in Maharashtra. It is a quiet existence, and we like it that way.
