Irasa Foundation

We are based in Kharghar, over at Sector 18. Our office is in flat 901, across plots 31 and 32. It’s a pretty high floor, so we get a good breeze, which is nice in the Panvel heat. Irasa Foundation isn’t a huge group. It’s just a small team of us who live around here in Raigarh district. We didn't start this to become famous or anything. We just noticed that there were things in our neighborhood that needed some attention. It’s not a fancy setup with glass partitions. We just have a few desks and some chairs in the main room. We don't use corporate jargon or have big board meetings. Most of our decisions are made over a cup of coffee in the kitchen. We handle local requests and try to be useful to the people living nearby. Some weeks are really quiet, and we just catch up on filing. Other weeks are totally chaotic and we’re out all day. We don’t have a marketing person, so we just talk to people directly. It’s a very local way of doing things, but it works for us. Kharghar is a growing place, and we’re just trying to keep up with everything that’s happening around us. We’ve been here for a while now, and we’ve gotten to know the shopkeepers and the families in Sector 18. It’s just us doing our part in the community.
