We’ve been here at Maruthi Nagar for a while now, right on that busy stretch of Kogilu Main Road. If you know the Chakan area, you know how much goes on with the automotive industry around here. Our building is at P/A/P/A/33, which sometimes confuses delivery drivers, but we are easy to find once you get close. Every day is pretty much the same routine. People arrive early, we get the machines going, and we work on parts for cars. It’s a lot of metal and plastic and technical drawings. The team mostly lives nearby, so we see each other at the local tea stalls during breaks. It gets dusty outside because of all the construction and trucks passing by, but inside we keep things moving. We aren't trying to be fancy or anything. We just have a job to do making components that end up in vehicles people drive every day. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet acts up, but we just deal with it and get back to work. It’s hard work, especially in the heat, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. Most of us have been here since the start and we know the rhythms of the shop floor. We don't have a big marketing team writing stuff, just us here in Chakan making sure things get shipped out on time. The road gets really packed in the evenings when the shifts change, but we are used to it.
