Our little workshop is over in Panvel, at Pakiza Apartments in Kachhi Mohalla. We are in Flat Number 4, which isn't very large, but it’s where all the work happens with our scarves and clothes. The neighborhood is quite traditional and busy, with a lot of local character and noise from the street vendors. Inside the apartment, you’ll find stacks of colorful fabrics and scarves waiting to be sorted and checked. It’s a very personal setup. We don't have a big corporate office or a glass-fronted shop. It’s just a few of us working together in a space that feels more like a living room than a factory. We spend our hours checking the weave of the fabrics and making sure the colors are right. Sometimes the apartment gets a bit crowded when a new shipment arrives, and we have to move stuff just to get to the kitchen for a tea break. We like the pace of life here in Panvel. It’s a bit slower than the main Mumbai city but still has its own energy. People in the building know what we do, and sometimes they pop in just to chat for a minute. We don't use any fancy systems; we just keep track of everything manually and make sure each piece is handled properly before it leaves our door. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from morning until late evening.
