D.Y Patil Medical College Hospital

We are located in Sector 5 of Nerul East, and it is a pretty massive facility if you have ever been by this way. Being a medical college hospital means things are always a bit more chaotic than a private clinic. There are always students in white coats walking around, learning from the senior doctors and rushing between classes and the wards. It is a very busy environment and the hallways are rarely quiet, even late at night. The building has been here for quite a while, so it has that slightly older feel, and we are constantly trying to keep up with maintenance. It is not a place for luxury; it is a place where people come to get treated and where new doctors get their training. We have many different departments spread out over several floors, and sometimes it takes a bit of walking to find where you need to go. The elevators can be a bit slow during the peak hours when the shifts change. Patients come from all over Navi Mumbai because we have so many beds and different specialists available. The atmosphere is very practical and focused on the work at hand. You will often see groups of interns discussing cases in the corners or staff moving equipment from one wing to another. It is a big, complicated operation, but it is how we provide care to the community while teaching the next generation.
