Our group is based out of Nerul, specifically in Sector 22. We have a small place in Shree Ganesh CHS, which is on Plot 8. It is flat 401. Nerul is a decent place to be, and our building is just like any other residential society in the area. We chose this spot because it is easy for everyone to get to. The Devki Lal Education Empowering Foundation does not have a giant office or a lobby with a receptionist. It is just us in a regular flat turned into a workspace. You will see shoes outside the door and stacks of papers on the dining table we use as a desk. We spend a lot of time talking to people on the phone and trying to organize our projects. It gets a bit cramped sometimes when we all show up at once, but we make it work. The fan in the main room makes a bit of a clicking sound that we have all just learned to ignore. That is just how it is. Being in Navi Mumbai is nice because it feels a bit more open than the main city. We have been here for a while and the neighbors know who we are. It is a straightforward setup. We do not need much to do our work, just a quiet corner and some coffee to keep us going through the afternoon. Everything we do happens from this little flat.
