Chitarpur Welfare Foundation

Our foundation is based in Navi Mumbai, specifically in the Shirawane area of Darawe. We’re located in Flat No 102, which is part of House No 0865, right near the local cable office. If you’re from around here, the cable office is a pretty well-known landmark, so it’s not too hard to find our door. We aren't a big, flashy organization with a lot of money to spend on appearances. We’re just a small group of people who started this welfare foundation to help out with local issues. The office is pretty simple—just a room with some chairs and a table where we can sit down and talk to folks who come in for help. We handle a lot of different things, mostly focused on the general welfare of people in the neighborhood who might be struggling. It’s a lot of manual work, like filling out forms, making copies, and talking to local authorities on behalf of others who can't do it themselves. We don't have any professional writers making us look better than we are in real life. We’re just honest people doing a job that needs to be done. Sometimes we are out of the office helping someone out, so the door might be locked for an hour, but we are usually around during the day. We’ve been in this Shirawane spot for a while now and we’ve become part of the daily life of the street.
