Takshi Auto Components is out here in Chakan, right in the Nanekarwadi area of Pune. If you know this part of Maharashtra, you know it’s mostly just industrial sheds and trucks moving back and forth all day long. We’ve been at 292 for a while now. Most of us get here pretty early because the traffic around Khed can be a real mess if you’re even a few minutes late. We handle auto components, mostly metal stuff that goes into cars and bikes. It’s loud inside the plant, but that is just how it is when you’re working with heavy machinery every day. The guys on the floor know their way around the tools, and they’ve been doing this work for years. We aren’t fancy people. We wear our uniforms, do the shifts, and make sure the parts get loaded onto the trucks when they’re supposed to. Sometimes the rain makes the roads around here difficult to navigate, but the work doesn’t stop for that. It’s a practical place. We don’t have a big reception area or anything like that because most people who come here are just delivery drivers or technicians. We just keep our heads down and do the manufacturing. It’s a lot of grease and hard work, but it keeps the lights on and the business moving. If you are looking for us, just look for the big gate near the main road. We are usually there from morning until late evening.
