Bodhi Sui-Dhaga Foundation

Our foundation is located out in Karjat, which is a nice change from the city noise. We are specifically in Karwandi, at house number 85, right near the ZP school. It’s a local spot where everyone knows each other. The name Bodhi Sui-Dhaga Foundation comes from our focus on sewing and needlework. We have a few sewing machines set up and we spend our time teaching people how to use them. It’s practical stuff. We want folks in the Raigarh area to have a skill they can use to make a living or just to fix things for their families. It’s not a high-tech operation. Mostly it’s just the sound of the machines and people chatting while they work. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know our way around a needle and thread. Sometimes the thread tangles or a machine breaks down, and we have to spend the afternoon fixing it, but that’s just part of the job. Being near the school means we see the kids running around every day, which keeps the place feeling lively. We aren't trying to build a factory; we just want a small, useful space where people can learn something with their hands. It’s quiet, it’s honest, and it’s what we like doing. If you’re ever near Karwandi, you’ll probably hear us working before you see the house.
