Our office is right here in the RTPS Colony in Shaktinagar. If you know Raichur, you know this area is all about the power station. Sri Narayana Erectors has been working around here for quite some time now. It’s a very specific kind of environment to work in. Everything feels massive because of the cooling towers and the constant hum of the plant nearby. We usually gather at the office early in the morning to hand out the work orders. The heat in Raichur can be really tough, especially in the middle of the day, so we try to get the heavy lifting done before it gets too bad. We deal with a lot of steel and mechanical parts. Most of us living in the colony have become like a small family because we see each other every day at work and at the local shops. It’s not a city life at all; it’s quiet until you get near the site. We spend a lot of time double-checking the bolts and the alignment of the structures we’re putting up. If something isn't right, we stay until it is. There’s no point in rushing if the job isn't done correctly. We keep our tools clean and our boots by the door. It is just steady, hard work that needs to be done to keep things running in the district. We don't talk much about visions, we just talk about the next job on the list for the crew.
