Spoorthi Indians Dance Group

We are located over on Netaji Nagar Road in Raichur. Our space is basically just one big room where we do all our dance practice. Spoorthi Indians Dance Group is not a big corporation or a fancy studio. It is just a local group for people who like to dance. We have some large mirrors fixed to one wall, although a few of them have small cracks in the corners from being moved around. The floor is made of wood and it can get a bit slippery after a long practice session. We play the music on an old sound system that sometimes cuts out if the wire isn't held just right. People from the neighborhood come here after they finish school or work for the day. We do various types of Indian dances together. The room usually gets quite noisy and hot when everyone is moving. We keep a few plastic chairs against the back wall for the parents who want to watch. There is a small corner with a curtain where people can change their clothes. We do not have a real stage here, so we just use the floor for everything. When we have a show coming up, we often stay late into the evening. Sometimes the people living next door complain about the loud music, but we just try to finish up quickly. It is a simple place for the community in Raichur.
