Shri Channabasava Kirana Store

Our little shop, Shri Channabasava Kirana Store, is located at 3-652 on the road that goes between Raichur and Koppal. It’s a busy road with a lot of trucks and cars going past all the time. We get a mix of travelers stopping for a quick drink or snack and the local folks who live nearby. The store is filled with jars of sweets and bags of pulses. I spend a lot of time sitting by the window watching the traffic when there aren't any customers. It gets quite dusty because of all the vehicles, so I’m always wiping down the counters. We’ve been here for a good while and the building is showing its age a bit, but it’s sturdy enough. We don’t have fancy displays, just wooden shelves that have been here since the start. It's a simple life, opening up early in the morning and closing when it gets dark. Sometimes I forget to order something and a customer has to wait a few days, but they are usually understanding. Raichur is a hot place, so we sell a lot of cold water and soda. Dealing with the change and the inventory keeps my mind sharp. It’s just a basic kirana store serving the people on the Koppal Road. There is always something that needs doing, whether it is sweeping the floor or re-ordering the sacks of flour.
