Pawan Clinic.

Pawan Clinic is out on the Sindnur road in Manvi which is part of the Kopal district in Karnataka. Dr. Parsuram is the one people usually look for when they come here. The road is often dusty and busy with trucks and tractors passing by heading towards the fields. Our clinic is a simple building that stands right along this route. It is a very practical setup because many people coming from the villages can find us easily as they head into town. The interior is basic with a concrete floor and a few wooden benches. We do not have air conditioning so we rely on the breeze coming through the open door and windows. Sometimes a stray dog will wander in looking for shade and we have to gently shoo it out. The pace of life in Manvi is tied to the seasons and the farming cycles and our clinic is no different. We see more people when the weather changes or during the harvest time when everyone is working hard. We use a small torch to look into throats and a simple scale to check weights. It is all very old-fashioned but it works for the needs of the local people here. We keep a big water pot with a ladle for anyone who is thirsty after their journey. It is a humble place but we are glad to be here.
