Our group is called Krushi Ruddi Sheep And Wool Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are located in Ward No. 6 at Lakshmi Camp in Balaganur. This is in the Maski Taluk. It’s a local operation and we spend most of our time dealing with sheep and the wool they produce. The office is right in the heart of the camp area so there is always someone passing by or stopping in for a chat. We have a lot of members who are active farmers. They bring their concerns and their products to us. We try to keep everything organized but it can get a bit messy when things are busy. The weather in Maski can be tough but the sheep are used to it and so are we. We don't have any fancy signs or big advertisements. Most people know us through word of mouth around Balaganur. We talk about the sheep, how much wool we are getting, and the cost of feed. It’s a very practical business. Some days we are just sitting around the office doing the accounts and other days we are out in the fields. We don't use much jargon or complicated systems. It’s just about the animals and the people who raise them. We have been working out of Lakshmi Camp for a while now and it feels like home to us. It is just basic work but it is important for the families involved in the camp.
