Down here in Shakthi Nagar, things move at their own pace. We've been running Jyothi Fly Ash Bricks Industries for a good while now, right here in the Raichur district. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, so we usually start the machines early when it’s still a bit cool out. The fly ash arrives in big loads and we get to work mixing and pressing everything into shape. It’s not fancy work, just honest labor in the yard, I guess. Most of the guys here live nearby, so we’ve become a bit of a small family over the years. We share tea under the shade of the tin roof when the sun gets too high. You’ll find us easily enough if you know where the main road turns toward the residential patches. There’s always a bit of dust in the air, but that’s just how it is when you’re dealing with bricks. We don't spend much time in an office; most of the day is spent out on the floor or checking the stacks. Sometimes the trucks are late, or sometimes the rain messes with the drying process, but we just keep going. People around Raichur know the spot. We aren't trying to be the biggest thing in the state, just keeping the yard running and making sure the bricks are solid for whoever needs them. It’s a lot of lifting and moving, but it keeps us busy and the neighborhood growing bit by bit.
