Sevashram Khadi & Village Industry

Sevashram Khadi & Village Industry is situated at No. 12-11-61 in Arab Mohalla. Our place is part of the Seva Campus, which has a lot of history to it. It’s a calm area compared to the main city streets, and we like it that way. Most of the people working here have been involved with village industries for a long time. We handle a lot of khadi items and things made in the traditional way. The campus is quite large and there are different sections for different types of work. You can see people busy with their hands, either sorting materials or packing things up for the local markets. The walls are a bit old and the rooms stay cool even when it’s hot outside. We don’t have big flashing signs or anything like that. People who need us usually know exactly where to find the Arab Mohalla gate. It’s more of a community feel here than a business. We sit together for lunch and talk about the day’s tasks. There’s always a smell of raw cotton or handmade soaps around the place. It’s honest work and we take our time to make sure things are done correctly. We aren't trying to rush through everything. The atmosphere is steady and practical, just like the products we deal with every day. It’s a good place to work if you like seeing how things are actually made.
