We deal with rice here at 65-98-32 in Shri Sai Nagar. Deodurga is a place where people really care about what kind of grain they eat. We have the different varieties stacked in bags along the walls. Sona Masuri, some local varieties, and some broken rice too. It smells like grain in here all the time. The floor gets a bit dusty from the sacks, but that’s just how it goes with this business. We weigh everything out on the old scale. It’s accurate enough. People come by with their own bags sometimes, or we give them plastic ones if they forget. We’ve been at this spot for several years now. It’s not a big operation. Just a couple of us moving bags and talking to customers. The light in the back is a bit dim, but we can see the stock fine. We don't do home delivery or anything. You just come by, pick what you want, and take it home. It's straightforward. Sometimes the prices go up or down depending on the market, but we just tell it like it is. We don't use fancy computers for our records, just a big ledger book that sits on the desk. It works for what we need. When the new harvest comes in, things get a bit more hectic, but we like the work.
