Sai Quality Super Market

Sai Quality Super Market is over at 581, Ward No 5, on Yadawad Road. Even though the name says super market, we like to think of it as a neighborhood place where people feel comfortable. It’s a bit larger than some of the other shops in the area, so we have aisles that people can actually walk through. We spent a lot of time setting up the shelves so that everything is grouped together, like soaps in one place and grains in another. It’s a lot of work to keep it organized because things always get moved around by the end of the day. Yadawad Road can be quite busy, and being in Ward No 5 means we get a lot of local families coming in for their weekly shopping. We try to keep the floors swept, but with so many people coming in, it’s a never-ending task. We have a few lights that stay on all day to make sure people can see what they’re buying, though the back can still be a little dark. We don't do any big promotions or fancy sales. We just put the items out and let people pick what they want. Most of our day is spent at the front counter, ringing things up and bagging them. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it’s good to see the same faces every week. It's just a practical, local place for the community.
