Adarsh Balmiki Ucchtar Madhymik Vidhyalaya

Adarsh Balmiki Ucchtar Madhymik Vidhyalaya is located out in Atrampur, which is a bit away from the main rush of Allahabad. Being in a place like 229412 means we get a lot of students from the surrounding villages and farms. The school building is a solid structure that's seen many seasons. We deal with older kids here since it's a higher secondary school. It’s different from the primary schools because the students are taller and have a lot more on their minds with their exams coming up. We spend our days mostly in the classrooms or out in the yard during the breaks. There’s no big fancy sign out front, just the name of the school and the gate. Life moves a bit slower here in Atrampur compared to the city. We have teachers who have been with us for years and they know most of the families by name. Sometimes the electricity goes out, but we just carry on with the lessons anyway. It’s a practical place for getting an education without any extra fuss. We don’t have much in the way of expensive equipment, but we have the books and the space to learn. It’s just a regular school trying to do its part for the local kids in this corner of the district. The goats from the neighboring field sometimes wander near the fence, but we don't mind much.
