Singh Traders

We are located right on Lucknow Road in Rae Bareilly, just across from the general store and very close to the bus stand. It is a noisy part of town because of all the buses coming and going, but it makes it easy for people to find us. Singh Traders has been here for years. It is a family-run kind of place. We sell various things that people in the district need for their homes and farms. The shop is packed from floor to ceiling with stock. Sometimes we have to move three heavy boxes just to get to one thing at the back of the shelf. It is a bit disorganized to an outsider, but we have our own system that works for us. We see a lot of different faces every day because of the bus stand nearby. People stop in while they are waiting for their ride to arrive. We usually have a wooden bench outside where folks can sit for a minute. My brother and I handle most of the daily stuff, from unloading the trucks to counting the cash at night. It is hard work and your back hurts by evening, but it is what we know how to do. We do not spend money on fancy displays or lighting. We just put the goods out where people can see them clearly.
