Marathe Hospital

Our hospital is located in Tilak Nagar, within the Jamsande area of Devgad in the Sindhudurg district. It’s a coastal region, and our hospital has been serving the local people here for quite a while. The building is simple and doesn’t have any of the fancy glass and steel you see in big city hospitals. We focus on general medical care, so we see all kinds of patients, from fishermen with injuries to local families with seasonal illnesses. Being in a place like Devgad means we know most of the people who walk through our doors. It’s a small-town atmosphere where everyone is connected. The clinic rooms are basic but functional, and we try to keep things as organized as possible despite the occasional rush. During the monsoon season, it can get very quiet, but in the summer months, it’s much busier. We don’t have a lot of high-tech equipment, so we do our best with what we have on hand. The staff is local and we all speak the same language as our patients, which makes things easier. It’s a lot of hard work, especially when the weather is tough, but it’s a necessary part of the community here. We aren't trying to be a major medical center, just a reliable place where neighbors can get help. We just keep doing our daily rounds and taking care of whoever comes in.
