Laundro Shine

Laundro Shine operates out of Shed No. 18 in the Ts Agro Industrial Area. We are right opposite the HMT Tractors building in Chintal, which is part of the Quthbullapur area in R. R. District. Our shed is full of large washing machines and dryers that are usually humming from the time we open until we shut the doors at night. It’s a very industrial setting, so it isn't exactly quiet or pretty. There is always the smell of soap and the feel of steam in the air. We spend our days sorting through piles of laundry, loading the machines, and then folding everything once it’s dry. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and moving heavy bags of wet clothes. We see a lot of different people coming by, from locals to workers from the nearby industrial units. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend an hour fixing a belt or a pump. The area around us is full of trucks and other industrial activities, so it’s a busy part of the district. We keep our workspace as organized as we can, but with so many clothes coming in, there is always a new pile waiting to be started. It’s a straightforward business of keeping things clean. We don't do anything fancy, just the hard work of washing and drying every single day until the job is done.
