About Balaji Polymers – Automobile in Qutubullapur
Down here at Plot No 59 in Jeedimetla Village, Balaji Polymers is tucked away in a spot that’s a bit quiet compared to the main roads. We occupy units 7 and 8, which gives us enough space to move around without bumping into each other too much. The air smells like plastic most days, but you stop noticing it after twenty minutes. We’ve got a small crew of workers who live nearby, so they walk or bike in every morning. Jeedimetla has grown a lot since we first arrived, but our little corner feels pretty much the same. We don’t have a receptionist, so if the bell rings, whoever is closest to the door goes to see who it is. We deal with a lot of scraps and raw materials piled up in the corners. It’s not the cleanest place, but it’s a working factory, not a showroom. We use older machines because they’re easier to fix when they break down. You don't need a computer to tell you what's wrong with them; you can just hear it in the motor. Most of our day is spent watching the cycles and making sure nothing gets jammed. We eat lunch together on the back steps when the weather is nice. It’s a straightforward life here at Plot 59. We just focus on getting the stacks of product ready for the morning pickup.
