Sri Laxmi Engineering Industries

Our workshop is located in Darbe, right on Subramanya Road in the D.K. District. It’s a place that’s easy to find if you know the area. Sri Laxmi Engineering Industries isn’t a massive plant; it’s just a regular engineering shop where we handle a variety of metalwork. I’ve spent many years learning how to use these machines, and I still enjoy the process of making something from a raw piece of steel. We don't have a fancy office or any marketing people to help us out. It’s a hands-on business. The floor is usually covered in oil and metal bits, and our hands are rarely clean. We don’t use any corporate language or have a polished way of speaking. We just talk to our customers like they are our neighbors, which most of them are. People from all over the D.K. District bring us their equipment when it needs a bit of work. We don’t have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just focus on the task at hand. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait, but that’s just how things are in this part of the country. We have some old fans to keep us cool, and we usually have a lot of tea throughout the day. It’s a humble life, but it’s what we know and we’re happy to be here in Darbe. We just keep working away at the bench until everything is finished properly and ready for the customer to pick up.
