Kolar Paper Mills Ltd is located at 104/105/106 in Parameswaramangalam Village, which is part of the Chittoor district. Our facility is quite large, stretching across several units to accommodate the heavy machinery needed for making paper. The village is a quiet backdrop to the industrial work we do here. You can hear the steady rhythm of the rollers and the splashing of water throughout the day. It is a very hands-on process, and there is always a layer of paper dust on the windowsills. We have a lot of local people working with us, some of whom have been here since the mill first opened. The office is just a small brick building at the entrance where we keep the logs and handle the daily administrative tasks. We don't go in for fancy furniture or modern decor. The walls are lined with old production charts and photos of the mill from years ago. Chittoor can be incredibly hot, so we make sure there is plenty of water for everyone and that the fans are always running. Dealing with the logistics of moving large paper rolls out of a village location can be a challenge, but we have a good system with the local truck drivers. We are not a corporate giant with a polished image. We are just a local mill providing work for the village and keeping the machines running. It is a tough job, but it is what we know how to do well.
