Dhana Cofee Shop

Pachepalli is a small place, and our shop is right in the heart of it. It’s nothing more than a simple room where people can come for a drink and a bit of a chat. Dhana Cofee Shop has been the daily stop for many of the local workers for years. We open up very early in the morning, usually before the sun is even fully up, to get the milk boiling and the first batch of coffee ready. The benches are made of simple wood and they’ve been worn smooth by everyone sitting on them day after day. We don’t have a menu printed out or anything like that because everyone already knows what we have. It’s usually just coffee or tea and maybe a few biscuits if we have them in stock. The walls are mostly bare, except for a small picture and a clock that’s about five minutes fast. Sometimes the rain comes down hard and the shop gets crowded with people seeking shelter, which makes it a bit cramped, but nobody seems to mind. We just keep pouring the drinks and wiping down the counter with an old cloth. It’s a simple way to make a living, and it keeps us connected to everyone in the village. We don’t need anything fancy to keep people coming back; they just want a hot drink and a place to sit for a minute.
