Our office is out in Purulia, specifically on U.C. Sinha Street in the Nadiha area. The full name is Hdfc Standard Life Insurance Company Limited. We are located near the Dulmi-Nadiha post office, which is how most people find us if they are new to the area. Purulia is a bit different from the big cities in West Bengal. It has a slower pace and our office reflects that. We aren't in a rush, we just take the time to go through the insurance papers correctly. The building is a bit older and we are just one part of the street. Inside, it is mostly just desks and a lot of stacks of paper. Insurance requires a lot of documentation, so we spend hours every day making sure every box is checked. People from the surrounding villages and the local town come in to talk about their life insurance. We try to keep things simple and explain things in a way that makes sense. It isn't a corporate showroom. It is just a workspace where we handle things for the community. Sometimes it gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have the windows open to let the air in. We just focus on the daily tasks and making sure everyone's files are handled properly before we head home.
