Social Enterprise For Agribusiness (Sea) Limited

We are based out in Purulia, at the Ghastoria Campus in the Manbazar area. It is a bit of a distance from the main cities, but this is where the real farming happens. We call ourselves a social enterprise because we care about how the agribusiness affects the local people living here. It is not just about making a profit for us. We spend a lot of time out in the fields or at the campus talking to the farmers. The landscape here is beautiful but the work is often very tough. The soil can be quite dry and the weather is frequently harsh. We try to figure out better ways for people to sell their crops or manage their farms more efficiently. It is a lot of trial and error. We aren't experts who know everything about everything. We learn as we go, just like everyone else. The campus has a bit of space, which is nice. We have meetings under the trees sometimes when the weather is good. It is a very grounded way to work. Purulia has its own rhythm and pace. We try to fit into that. There is no corporate ladder here. We are all just trying to make the agribusiness side of things work better for the whole community. It is a slow process, but we are stuck in and doing the best we can every day. We often walk between the different parts of the campus to stay active. Purulia has some beautiful sunsets if you have the time.
