Sneha Stores

Down here in Karandih, things move a bit slower than in the big cities. Sneha Stores is just a local place in the Arsha area where people stop in for their daily needs. We have been sitting on this same spot for a while now. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a sturdy place with shelves that we keep stocked as best as we can. We carry a bit of everything because you never know what a neighbor might run out of. Some days it is quiet and we just sit and watch the traffic go by on the main road. Other days, especially around festivals, it gets so crowded we can hardly keep up. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. It is just us behind the counter. We know most of the people who walk through the door by their first names. If we don't have something, we usually try to get it in the next delivery. The floors are a bit worn from all the feet passing over them. We keep a small radio playing in the background most of the time. It is a basic life, but it works for us. We close up when the sun goes down and head home to our families in the village. It is just a regular shop run by regular people who live right here in the community. Most of the time, the dust from the road settles on the windows and we have to wipe it off.
