Apsara Traders

Apsara Traders is situated in Tulin, right near the Tulin Bus Stand in the Jhalda area. Being so close to the bus stand means we see a lot of people coming and going all day long. It’s a very local business. We deal with trading various goods, and our shop is usually a bit of a hub for people passing through the village. The noise from the buses and the conductors calling out is just the background music to our day. We start early, usually around the time the first buses start rolling in. It’s not a fancy setup. We have our counters, our storage space, and a lot of items stacked up. Some days are slow and we just sit and talk with the neighbors, and other days it’s so busy we barely have time to eat lunch. We’ve been here for a long time, so most of the people around Jhalda know who we are. We don’t really do any advertising; people just know to come to the bus stand area if they need something. It can get dusty and hot, and sometimes the power goes out, but we just keep the doors open. We aren't some big corporate chain. We’re just a local trader trying to provide what the community needs. It’s a simple life, and we’re quite used to the hustle and bustle of the Tulin Bus Stand every single day.
