Abhay Engineering

Abhay Engineering is based out of Mangalam Apartment, specifically Block No. 201 at Malhar Point. It’s near Old Adra Road, which is a pretty well-known spot around here. Running an engineering firm out of an apartment building might seem a bit different, but it works for what we do. We have our desks set up with all the drawings and a couple of computers that are usually running too many programs at once. It’s a bit quieter than a factory floor, but there is still plenty of stress when deadlines are coming up. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out at different sites, so the office is often empty except for one or two people. Malhar Point is a decent area with some good food stalls nearby, so we usually head down there for a break. We aren't a massive company with departments and managers for everything. If you call, you’re probably going to talk to the same person who is actually drawing up your plans. It makes things a bit more personal, I guess. We deal with all the local regulations and the paperwork that comes with engineering, which is the boring part of the job. But at the end of the day, we like seeing things actually get built from the sketches we made right here in the apartment. It's a small team, and we just try to get the math right.
