Vriddhi Prakash Foundation

Vriddhi Prakash Foundation is based in Mirganj, specifically in the Rupaspur Khagha area of Dhamdaha. Amar Das lives here and that is where we run everything from. We aren’t a big office with glass doors or fancy signs. It is just some local people trying to do stuff here in the village. Sometimes the roads get very dusty, but we don't mind. We sit together on plastic chairs or mats and talk about what needs doing for the day. It is quiet most of the time unless we have a meeting. Neighbors often walk by and say hello. We have been in this tola for a while now, so the panchayat and everyone else knows us well. Most folks just walk over to the house if they need to talk. It’s not a complicated setup. We drink a lot of tea and discuss the work. Sometimes things go slow because of the weather or when everyone is busy with farm work. That is just how life goes around here. We don’t have a huge staff, just people from nearby who help when they can. Amar Das looks after the main things. If you are looking for us, you can just ask anyone in the village for his house and they will show you the way. We try to be useful where we can without making any big fuss. It’s just us doing what we can with what we have in Dhamdaha.
