If you head down State Highway 63 in Jokihat, you’ll find us. Sir Syed Academy is tucked away here in Araria, and it’s been our main focus for a long time. The address is 854329, but most people just know the building on the highway. It gets pretty loud with the trucks and buses passing by all day, but we’ve gotten used to it. The school itself is a humble place. We don’t have much in the way of fancy gadgets or big auditoriums. Usually, it’s just us making sure the chalkboards are clean and there’s enough water for everyone. Being in Araria, we deal with the seasons as they come—the rain can be a real problem for the road out front, but we still show up. We don’t spend time writing out big plans or missions; we just look at what needs to be taught that week and get to it. The staff is local, and we often see parents at the market or around town. It’s a small community feel, even though we’re on a main road. We try to keep the gates painted and the garden from getting too wild, but sometimes we fall behind. It’s just a regular school where people work hard. There’s nothing polished about it, just a lot of books and desks and people trying to make it work every day without making a big deal of it.
