Our small office is tucked away in Tatma Toli, over by Newalalchowk in Purnia. Sarvesh Saurav looks after things here. It's a typical local spot where everyone seems to know everyone else's business. We started this because there was a need for something close to home. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a regular place where we keep our records and meet people. We spend a lot of time on the phone or writing things down in big binders. The fans hum all day long to keep the heat away, and we usually have a stack of papers that never seems to get smaller. You just walk in and talk to whoever is sitting at the front desk. It’s a bit informal, maybe, but it works for us. We’ve had to fix the roof once or twice after the monsoon rains, and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint soon. We just focus on the basics. Making sure the numbers add up and that the paperwork is filed away correctly. It's a steady routine. We aren't looking to expand into some giant corporation; we’re just part of the local scene here in the chowk.
