Purnia Kosi Poultry Farmer Producer is based in the village of Raziganj, specifically in the Matiya Pokhar area of Ranjiganj. We are set up on the land that belonged to the family of Late Abdhesh Singh. Dealing with poultry is a noisy and busy job. There is always something that needs fixing, whether it’s a fence or a feeder. We spend our days making sure the birds are healthy and that they have enough water. The Matiya Pokhar area is a good spot for this kind of work, and we have many neighbors who are also in the farming business. We aren't a big company with a lot of employees. It is mostly just a few of us doing the daily chores. Sometimes the chicks are delicate and we have to watch them closely during the colder months. It takes a lot of patience to run a poultry farm, and we’ve had to learn a lot of lessons the hard way. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. It is just raising chickens and selling them to the local market. The work is messy and the smell is something you just get used to after a while. We are proud to be working the land here in Raziganj. It is just our way of making a living and contributing to the village. We’ve been here for a bit and plan to stay, just focusing on the birds.
