Karmah Seva Foundation

Our office for Karmah Seva Foundation is located at Room No-02 on Hospital Road in Purnia. Being on Hospital Road means it is always busy and a bit loud with all the traffic and people moving toward the medical centers. It is a small space, just one room really, but it is enough for what we do. We have a few cupboards filled with documents and a couple of tables that have seen better days. The light coming in from the door is usually enough to work by until the sun goes down. Purnia can get very humid, so we usually have a small table fan running that rattles a bit. Because we are so close to the hospital area, we see a lot of people passing by all day long. Some people pop their heads in just to say hello or ask for directions. It is not the kind of place where you need an appointment; you just show up and see if we are in. We keep a stash of extra chairs stacked in the corner for when we have meetings. The floor gets a lot of dust from the road outside, so we are always sweeping it out. It is a practical little spot that puts us right where the action is in town. We don't spend much on decorations, just the essentials to keep the foundation running every day.
