Kanak Oil Industries

Our place is at 1122 Juna Madhpura right across from the Madhpura Mahajan Dawakhana. It is an old part of the city and you can tell by looking at the buildings. We’ve been running Kanak Oil Industries out of this spot for a long time. The smell of oil is pretty much stuck in our clothes and hair by the time we go home at night. We have the big pressing machines in the back and a small counter up front for customers. It gets very hot when the machines are running all day but we have a couple of ceiling fans that help a little. We don't have a fancy office for meetings. If someone wants to talk they usually just stand by the counter or sit on one of the plastic chairs we keep near the door. We see a lot of people coming from the clinic across the street too. Most of our customers are locals who bring their own containers to fill up. We don't do much in terms of fancy packaging or labels. We just focus on making sure the oil is clean and done the right way. It is a messy job and the floor is always a bit slippery so we have to be careful. We are just a local business trying to stay busy and keep the old machines working like they should. It is honest work and we are happy with that.
