Mohini Devi Memorial School

We’re situated in Araria R.S., which is a place that many people just pass through on the train, but for us, it’s home. The school bears a name that means a lot to us personally, so we try to run it with a bit of heart and care. It’s not a polished institution with shiny floors and air conditioning in every single room. It’s a real school where kids from the surrounding area come to get an education. We have a lot of students who come from families that work very hard, and we try to match that energy in the classroom. The building itself has seen better days, maybe, but it’s sturdy and serves its purpose well enough for our needs. We have a small staff, and everyone ends up doing a bit of everything—teaching, cleaning, or fixing the front gate when it sticks. We don’t have a big marketing budget, so word of mouth is how most people find out we exist. We like it that way because it keeps things honest and grounded. The children are generally well-behaved, though they have their loud moments like any other kids. We just aim to give them a fair shot at learning what they need to know for their future. It’s a quiet life here in Araria R.S., and we’re just glad to be a part of it, helping out the local families where we can.
