M K Industries is based in Purnea, right at Matiyari Chowk on National Highway 57. Being on the highway is a big deal for us. It means there’s always noise and movement, which we’ve gotten used to over time. The trucks never seem to stop. We set up here because it was easy for transport. Purnea is a busy place, and Matiyari Chowk is one of those spots where everything seems to cross paths. Our setup is pretty simple. We have the main area for the work and a small corner for the office stuff. It’s dusty and loud most of the time, but that’s the nature of the industry we’re in. We don’t have any polished sales pitch. We just tell people what we have and what we can do. It’s mostly just me and a few workers who have been around since the start. We’ve had good years and tough years, like anyone else. The highway makes it easy for people from out of town to find us, but we also have plenty of locals who stop by. We usually start the day with a cup of tea and a look at what needs to be moved first. It’s a long day every day, but we like being our own bosses. If you’re driving along NH 57, you can’t miss the chowk. We’re right there, doing our thing and trying to keep everything on schedule.
