Vedanta Aluminium Ltd, Jharsuguda

Our address is over in Gopinathpur, near the Atharnala bridge in Puri. Even though the name says Vedanta Aluminium Jharsuguda, this particular spot is right here in the temple town. The atmosphere in Puri is very different from the industrial zones. You can almost feel the sea breeze, though we are a bit further inland at zip code 752002. The office is at a simple At/Po location, which basically means it is a local landmark for the people living nearby. We handle a lot of the local coordination from this building. It is not a huge facility. We have some basic furniture and a lot of logbooks. The street outside can get very busy during the festival seasons when pilgrims come to the city. We have to plan our work around those busy times because the roads get blocked. It is a quiet place most of the year, though. We stay focused on the tasks at hand. There is a small porch where we sometimes sit to talk about the day's plans. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but they hold up the roof just fine. We have a few fans to keep the air moving when it gets muggy. It is a humble setup, but it serves the purpose for our operations in this part of Odisha. We just keep things moving along without much fuss.
