You can find us at C - 372 on the main road in Kardam Puri Extension. We are situated very close to Gali No - 6. Being on the main road means there is always something going on outside our windows. We have a small sign out front, but it has faded a little over the last few years. The office inside is basic with a few old wooden desks and some plastic chairs for visitors. We don’t have much in the way of decorations, just some calendars on the walls. It’s a small group of us working here on matters related to justice and social help. People often drop by without an appointment just to talk or ask for some guidance on their problems. We try to listen to everyone, though it can get a bit crowded in the afternoons. The floor is made of old tiles that are a bit cracked in the corners. We usually keep the front door open to let in some light, even if it brings in some of the dust from the street. It’s a very local operation, and we don’t use any complicated systems. Most of our records are kept in big registers that we write in by hand. We take turns making tea for each other in the small pantry area. It is a straightforward place where we just focus on helping the people who live around Kardam Puri. We’ve been here quite a while now and feel like part of the street.
