Puri Tent House

We’re tucked away behind the Subadhra Hotel and the police station on Grand Road. Puri Tent House has been in this spot for years. It’s a bit hard to find if you don’t know where to look. You have to go down the small lane. We have a lot of poles and fabric stacked up everywhere. It’s a bit of a mess, but we know where every single piece is. When someone has a wedding or a local event, they come to see us. We don’t do big advertisements. Most people just heard about us from their neighbors. Being near the police station means it's usually safe and quiet at night. Grand Road is always buzzing, but our little corner is a bit more relaxed. We have a few guys who have been working with us for a decade. We load up the trucks early in the morning. It’s hard work, especially in the heat. We don’t have an air-conditioned office. Just a fan and some cold water. We do our best to get things set up on time. Sometimes the rain makes it tricky. We’ve seen all kinds of weather here in Puri. We just keep going. It’s a practical business. We provide what people need for their gatherings. No fancy talk, just honest work. We’ve been through plenty of busy seasons and we’re still standing. People know they can find us if they look behind the hotel.
