We are located on Sarada Devi Road in the Bali Sahi area of Puri. It is a very short walk from the Jamuna Temple. Our workshop is usually a bit of a mess because of all the sand and tools we use for the art pieces. It is hard to keep a place clean when you work with sand all day. The sea breeze comes in through the door, which is nice when it gets hot. We have different sculptures and smaller items sitting on benches throughout the space. Some are finished and others are just half-done. People often stop by on their way to the temple to see what we are working on. The road outside can get quite busy during festivals, but most of the time it’s just a regular street. We’ve been at this location for years and everyone around here knows where the sand art place is. The walls are covered in photos of past projects we’ve done. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who like working with our hands. It takes a lot of patience to get the details right, and sometimes things break and we have to start over. That’s just how it goes. It’s a quiet life for the most part, just focusing on the sand and the shapes we can make with it.
